This course examines international relations of the Asia-Pacific and their implications for the world. The course covers the historical patterns, economic dynamics, security arrangements, and the economy- security nexus of the relations, as well as key players and issues that drive and shape the relations. The course examines the sources of conflict and cooperation while assessing competing explanations for key events and developments in the region. As the Asia-Pacific emerges as one of the most dynamic regions in world politics, this course is designed for students to acquire a basic understanding of the most important issues in the region’s international relations. 100% internal assessment.
