In GEOS 102 you will explore the foundations of Earth Science, necessary for understanding and mitigating climate change and natural hazards, including sea-level rise, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. In addition, you will be introduced to environmentally responsible management of natural resources such as groundwater and minerals. As part of the course, you will go into the field and develop practical skills to better understand and interpret the physical environment.
