This course provides students with direct experience in the creative transformations of translation, enabling them to discover how ideas and meanings are received, explained, and transported around the world. Students will develop an interdisciplinary knowledge of translation as cross-cultural communication and the crucial role translation plays in our global and technological era. Students will also acquire theoretical and practical insights into the creative production and critical evaluation of various types of translation.
