The second course in the sequence of “Grand Challenge” courses to provide you with the knowledge, tools, and experience to address grand challenges in Aotearoa and the world. The course builds on the definition and identification of grand challenges from BCOM 101. It will guide you to use frameworks and tools drawing on multi/interdisciplinary perspectives, including mātauranga Māori, to analyse, critique and communicate about grand challenges using a structured case study approach. The course culminates with a case study analysis linked to one or more grand challenges, for which students work in groups to develop a critical analysis.
